Gourmet King

The Gourmet King, also known as the Food King, is a special NPC in Restaurant City. He was introduced in the December 1, 2009 update as a random character players could discover while exploring the game.

Overview

The Gourmet King occasionally appears around Restaurant City, including:

• Inside or outside your restaurant
• Around the garden
• On the street
• While visiting friends' restaurants

When the Gourmet King appears, the player can click on him to trigger a reward event.

Rewards

After finding him, the Gourmet King presents a selection of rewards. These could include:

• Ingredients
• Recipes
• Limited or special items

The available rewards changed over time and were sometimes connected to seasonal events.

Sharing Rewards

Originally, finding the Gourmet King was primarily a social feature.

After selecting a reward, the player could publish it to their Facebook wall, allowing friends to claim it. The player who discovered the Gourmet King generally could not claim their own posted reward, encouraging players to find and share Gourmet King rewards with each other.

Reward posts typically expired after 48 hours.
